This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
ah well. i made a descision to try and be better at the following -
uploading work. this is tricky as i very rarely get time to do anything i would call "finished". i'm instead going to have to get used to putting up quick stuff, and not in "scraps" apparently as its not "done". ah well.
following through on projects. as a lot of my stuff is done for me, rather than clients, i find it hard to carry through after the initial excitement ive tons of work thats "almost done". so i guess i'll have to start posting roughs and WIPs.
Almost summer, and i prove to be as bad at updating this as i am my myspace and facebook.
oh well, i will try to do better.
one of the significant issues is that teaching full time now on the shiny and new games development course means that i have very little time for my own work, or indeed any work that isnt directly focussed on keeping the course going.
still managed to put a few scraps in today and hopefully will have some new work once the holidays kick in.
Uploaded some scraps today, they are all doodles on the same character, - inspired by some HP lovecraft i'm reading.
I guess the reason for this is that i hope i'll be able to devote time and develop the guy, and that youll see from very scruffy begginings I start with, where i end up.
Spending a lot of time in the classroom with students who have worked very hard to produce work, it kinda feels like I should be sharing some of my stuff with you, after seeing so much of your work.
I've been asked a few times "are you on DeviantArt" well I wasn't.. but now I am.
For better or worse I'm putting some of my stuff out there in the sure and certain knowledge that in the two years I teach you, some of you will surpass me.
I'm not an artist, and as I often say to you, "I can't draw"
Hopefully you can learn something from the work I show you, and I'm sure that as time goes on, I'll learn from you guys too.

with a bit of luck i'll get some work done in the holidays, but uploading anything will depend entirely on my isp hooking me up at the new place.
